Financial Assistance Grants: Clubs and Organizations
Under Section 176(1) of the Local Government Act, Council may provide assistance for the purpose of benefiting the community or any aspect of the community, subject to the specific limitations and conditions established by or under this or another Act. This assistance may be a grant, benefit, advantage or other form of assistance.
Council would like to remind those clubs and organizations requesting funding assistance: The deadline for applications is February 17, 2012.

Climate Action Revenue Incentive Program (CARIP)
At the 2008 UBCM Convention, the Honourable Premier Gordon Campbell announced the new Climate Action Revenue Incentive Program (CARIP) grant to offset the carbon tax paid by local governments who have committed to the goal of becoming carbon neutral in their corporate operations by 2012 under the BC Climate Action Charter.
